DESCRIPTION: WW - Heuer Skipper Chronomatic, ref 11063V, automatic, 43mm x 47mm to lug tips, 21mm lug width, original stainless steel screw back case with bi-directional diving bezel and round slotted pump pushers set on opposite side of winding crown, original stainless steel Jubilee style bracelet with diver's extension signed Heuer, original black dial with applied silver lumed indices, date aperture at 6, two inset subregisters with red, white and blue accents for regatta countdown minute recording and subsidiary seconds, 17J cal 15, no s# available, triple signed. Part of the historically significant partnership for Project 99, Heuer along with Hamilton/Buren, Breitling and Dubois-Depraz set out to construct the world's first automatic chronograph, although who was truly "first" is up for endless debate among vintage collectors.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, chronograph functions and resets properly, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, no oxide; nearly flawless dial with very light surface spotting, small ding on perimeter between 1 and 2; excellent white painted luminous hands, light scratches on sweep center and oxide on minute recorder; polished case shows light wear, still retains all of its original factory finishing on the bezel, light dings on case back; original signed Heuer crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal is slightly higher at one side.
